We were asked by the municipality of Eindhoven to curate an artist who could create an illustration for their glass container. The location of the glass container is right in the centre on the Stratumseind, a street with more than 50 bars. It starts at the the Catherina church and ends at the Van Abbe Museum and has some nice historical buildings. Many buildings, as wel as the big church use colorful stained glass as decoration. I asked the artist and illustrator Niels Bakkerus to make a special design for the glass container using the elements of stained glass. In the design he portrayed Bacchus, the god of wine and intoxication, as a hint to its location, the longest pub street in the Netherlands.
